SOAR is an award winning regeneration charity in North Sheffield which provides a number of services for the community including health, buildings management, training and support into employment.

SOAR has an exciting vacancy in our Health Team for:

Part time (30 hours) flexible hours

Salary: £18,453 – £19,621 pro rata

8% pension contribution

Permanent subject to funding

25 days annual leave entitlement pro-rata & Bank holidays

To enhance the Health and Well Being of local people by adopting a community development approach to:

*Deliver family support groups and other activities within Children’s Centres.

*Recruit and support local people to become volunteers.

*Support local people to access existing services and health initiatives.

*Identify barriers to local people accessing service & gaps in services.

*Work to positively to address these barriers and forge links with other organisations to provide greater connectivity in delivery.

The Volunteer Development Worker will work as part of an integrated team; that involves the recruitment, retention and support of volunteers, and co-designing activity.

SOAR delivers local elements of Sheffield City Council Early Yrs Integrated Volunteering & Peer Support Programme (0-4yrs); aimed at recruiting and training local people as volunteers to deliver a range of activities including Children’s Centre groups.
