SOAR is an award winning regeneration charity in North Sheffield which provides a number of services for the community including health, buildings management, training and support into employment.

SOAR has an exciting vacancy in our Health Team for:

Health Development Worker

Part time (18.5 hours) flexible hours

Grade: Scale 3 Spinal point 22 – 25: £19,621 – £21,519 pro rata 8% pension contribution

Maternity cover – Initial fixed contract (end March 2016)Extension dependent on funding.

25 days annual leave entitlement pro-rata & Bank holidays

To enhance the Health and Well Being of local people by adopting an asset based community development approach to:

Support delivery of a programme of health and lifestyle initiatives within community settings (that are linked in to the 5 Ways to Wellbeing).

Support local people to access existing services and health initiatives.

Identify barriers to local people accessing service & gaps in services.

Work to positively address these barriers and forge links with other service providers to provide greater connectivity in delivery.

Work to objectives within the Burngreave Community Wellbeing Programme.
