Job: Volunteer Support Worker (SOAR)

  • Part time (18.5 hours) flexible hours

  • Grade: Scale 3 Spinal Point 14-18 (£15,725-£17,161 pro rata)

  • 8% pension contribution

  • Permanent subject to funding

  • 25 days annual leave entitlement pro-rata & Bank holidays

Job description:

To support the development of SOAR’s volunteer programme, namely Health Champions. Health Champions currently make up the majority of SOAR’s volunteering programme and are volunteers whose purpose is to help improve the health and wellbeing of the local area. Currently SOAR manages 3 Health Champion contracts:

  • Core Health Champions

  • Living Well Champions

  • Pregnancy and Early Years Champions

The Volunteer Support Worker will support the co-ordinator to advertise, recruit, and support Health Champions, as well as making sure appropriate monitoring information is being gathered on a regular basis.
