Litter-pick – Saturday 18th May

Parkwood Springs will be having a litter-pick/maintenance day on

Saturday 18th May from 10am until 12 noon.

Meet at the Spirit of Parkwood sculpture on Cooks Wood Road/Shirecliffe Road at 10 am, wearing old clothes. The Rangers will supply tools and gloves.

If you are late, please ring on 0777 156 4883, to find out where they are working. Or ring on 0114 272 4499 the day before, and they'll be able to tell you then.

Go along and give it a try! It's fun, and will really make a difference!

Annual General Meeting

The AGM of the Parkwood Springs Group and its next regular meeting will take place on Wednesday 22nd May at 7pm at St Catherines School, Firshill Crescent, S4 7BX.

There is a lot going on at the moment – the problems at the Ski Village, the restoration plan for the Landfill Site, but also more positive things like a nature survey on the site and the bike trail. It will be a good chance to catch up and feed in your views.

It will also be at the Annual General Meeting when the Parkwood Springs group can take stock of what they've been doing and elect the new committee for the next year.

If you are interested in coming on the committee do please say.

Have a word with Neill Schofield (on 0114 272 4499) beforehand if you would like to.
