Job: Part-time Youth Worker

Job Purpose

Development and delivery of a range of activities to enable young people in Burngreave, Sheffield to explore and deal with conflict in their lives; working alongside Youth Development Worker (Dealing with conflict).

Salary

£10.08 per hour

Hours

17 hours per week, regular twilight & evening work and occasional weekend work required.

Post funded until May 2012

Ellesmere Youth Project is running an exciting programme of work, enabling young people to explore and deal with conflict.

We are looking for an experienced part-time youth worker (level 2 or equivalent), with a proven track record in developing informal education programmes with young people. You will need to be a self-starter with drive and enthusiasm, able to deliver and develop this project alongside Youth Development Worker (Dealing with Conflict)

You will be a great communicator and be able to build positive relationships with challenging groups of young people.

The ethos of Ellesmere Youth Project (EYP) is to reach out to local young people by providing quality activities and groups in which to foster relationships, build a sense of community and encourage the values of acceptance, respect, co-operation, equality and compassion. We are a growing community-based youth project, working in Burngreave for over 10 years.
