Indian Dance and Literature

An exciting and interactive evening of dance and literature will take place at 6pm at the Hindu Samaj on Buckenham St on Saturday 27th October, as part of the Off the Shelf Festival of words.

Dancer Dr Chamu Kuppuswamy will read from the Natyashastra in Sanskrit and talk about its place and relevance in Indian literature and philosophy.

This will be followed by a demontration and workshop to translate the Natyashastra into dance.

The event is free and is suitable for anyone except those under nine.
