JOB: Employability Development Worker

Yemeni Community Association (Sheffield) Ltd require an Employability Development Worker

  • £21,450 (pro-rata)

  • 24hrs per week

Will be responsible for developing demand- led employability provision in Burngreave

The successful candidate will initially identify and understand local and citywide provision around employability and then work to increase the capacity of existing local organisations to deliver employment- related services.

Strong inter-personal skills are required for this post as is the ability to work as part of a team and to be self motivated.

Whilst managed by the YCA, the successful candidate will report back to and be steered by the Burngreave Adult Learning Working Group.

Essential personal qualities of the post holder

The successful applicant will be a dynamic individual, who has an understanding of working in the voluntary and community sector and employability issues. They will be clear-sighted, able to meet challenges head-on, with the ability to identify new opportunities, exploiting them to the best advantage for the Burngreave area. He or she will possess the ability to interact with people at all levels. A strategic forward thinker, with a positive “can do” approach, together with the ability to work with, and motivate others is essential.
