Speakers: Isabel Hudson, Women's Resource Centre, London and Ros Wollen, Women's Construction Centre Manager.
Quaker meeting House, St James Street, Sheffield, S1 2EW.
The Women’s Resource Centre is a charity which supports women’s organisations to be more effective and sustainable. They provide training, information, resources and one-to-one support on a range of organisational development issues. They also lobby decision makers on behalf of the women’s not-for-profit sector for improved representation and funding.
Ros Wollen, Women’s Construction Centre, Sheffield Ros Wollen has worked in women's organisations for many years and manages a nationally acclaimed training programme for women in non traditional trades.
Women's organisations have traditionally been under-valued and under-resourced. However, things are changing for the worse. We have seen many, successful, well-established women's organisations, with decades of expertise, closing down. Why? Not through lack of need, but because the funding environment has changed, and the evidence suggests that these changes impact heavily on women's organisations.
Come along to the meeting and find out more about the campaign.
All women welcome.
The Quaker Meeting House is a fully accessible venue.
