Burngreave shines brightly with winter warmers

A host of exciting activities are set to bring an extra sparkle and shine to Burngreave this winter. Despite the dark nights and chilly temperatures, BNDfC has planned some great events over the next couple of months, which are sure to bring a warm glow to the whole family.

Burngreave Bonfire Night Celebration – 5 November

Get down to the Petre Street playing fields to see the biggest firework display ever to be staged in Burngreave. The Community Engagement Team, in partnership with the Burngreave Sports Network, has planned a host of exciting activities from 1–9pm. There will be fun for all the family with fair rides, sports competitions, prizes and giveaways plus a special guest to light the Burngreave bonfire.

Children’s Festive Party – December — date to be confirmed

Children in Burngreave can celebrate in sparkling style this winter. BNDfC, together with partners, has organised a fun festive party at the Town Hall for more than 300 young people in the area. The multicultural event, which is ticket-only, will bring together children of all ages and their families for one big community get together. There will be variety of activities and entertainment to choose from including presents, competitions prizes and a disco.

Multicultural Fashion & Dance Extravaganza – 4 December

Make sure you secure your ticket for an afternoon of extravagance at the BNDfC Multicultural Fashion and Dance event. The women-only event will feature a unique display of Afro-Caribbean, Arabian, Somalian and Pakistani fashion and dance from 12 noon–6pm. This will be accompanied by food and music from around the world in what is sure to be an afternoon not to be missed!
