Steering group

We are re-launching our steering group and would love to hear from anyone interested in getting involved on any level. Old or young, fit or not – all you need to have is enthusiasm!

Two new teams

Two teams are about to begin competing in local leagues for the area, Basketball (9–13 year old boys and girls) and girls Football (under 14s). If you are interested in becoming involved as a player, manager, coach or in a supporting role it’s not to late!

Cricket Update

Burngreave Sports Project is looking to develop an under 13s team to compete in the Sheffield League next season. If you are interested the training sessions are at Fir Vale Sports Centre with Steve Taylor, Mondays 6–7pm for 12–16 and Wednesday, 6–7pm for over 11s.

October 2004 Half Term

The Programme is as follows:

  • Mon 11–13 – Fir Vale Sports Centre – Multi sports – Free

  • Mon 11–3 – Carwood Community Centre – Multi Sports – Free

  • Tue – SUFC Academy & Bramall Lane Football coaching 50p Coaching and match at SUFC Academy followed by a behind the scenes tour of Bramall Lane! Coach picks up: 10.30am Earl Marshall Youth Centre, 10.45am – Pitsmoor Adventure Playground, 10.50am Verdon St Recreation Centre. Drop offs from 3.30pm onwards at same points.

  • Wed 11–1 – Nottingham Cliff Sports Facility – Golf Van – Free

  • Wed 1–4 – Firs Hill Sports & Arts Facility Survivor Challenge – Tree climbing, fire making and much more!

  • Thu 10–4 – Fir Vale Sports Centre Basketball – Camp boys – 50p. With Sheffield Hatters.

  • Fri 10–4 – Fir Vale Sports Centre Basketball – Camp girls – 50p. With Sheffield Hatters.

  • Fri 11–1 Abbeyfield Park – Golf Van – Free

  • Fri 11–3 Verdon Recreation Centre Multi – sports – 20p
