Recycling bins at Kirton Road

Dear Messenger

Onyx have applied for permission to place three recycling bins on the spare ground at the Osgathorpe Road end of Kirton Road. I am in favour of recycling but feel that the suggested site is too near homes and could lead to even more anti-social behaviour than at present.

Who decides where these recycling bins will be placed? I feel sure in this case whoever it was lives nowhere near Osgathorpe or Kirton Road. Why can’t the bins be sited outside the shops where the cans and bottles will be bought?
