A Grade 2 Listed building situated the Wicker. Originally built in 1852, the three storey building has a balcony with an iron balustrade supported by corbels decorated with fish, the town's arms and elephants heads. Formally the Clyde steel works of Samuel Osborn & Co the Building still retains a number of it's original features.

Over the past thirty years the building has been renovated by members of the African Caribbean community and used as a Community Centre offering a wide range of educational, recreational, social activities and Day-care provision for the elderly.

Come along and explore the past history of the building and its current usage, view exhibits and engage in discussion.

Access

Although most of the building is accessible, some areas can only be accessed by stairs. A lift is available to all floors. Public car park and street parking available. Limited parking on site.

Directions

We are a Grade 2 Listed building situated centrally on the East side of the Wicker. Entrance to the building is on the ground floor and activities take place on the floors located over a number of local shops. A lift is available to take you to the 1st floor reception foyer.
