Ellesmere Children’s Centre Management Committee would like to congratulate their manager, Sharon Curtis, who has recently achieved her PhD at Leeds Beckett University studying the role of black women as leaders in early years’ education.
“We are pleased and excited by her work and particularly recognise that Black women within the academic arena, are still in a small minority.” “We are also thrilled that her knowledge and understanding of the diversity within the local community, has been shared throughout the team, and keeps the centre operating as an Ofsted recognised, ‘Outstanding’ setting”.
