Parkwood Springs activity day

Just a reminder that the friends of Parkwood Springs will have one of their regular activity days this Saturday, 28th May. They will be cutting back some of the vegetation and helping to keep the footpaths nice and clear.

If you would like to join them, meet them at the car-park on Cooks Wood Road/Shirecliffe Road at 10am. Work will continue until about 12.30, with a break for a cuppa, but by all means join in for a shorter time – just as you like.

If you arrive after 10am, please ring on 0777 156 4883 to find where we are working.

The Friends had two really good events recently – the Dawn Chorus bird walk, and the local history walk. The Dawn Chorus walk (photo below by Carol Schofield) had a very good turn-out – 27 people at 5am in the morning led expertly by John and Anne Robinson. for leading it so well.

All are welcome to come and help out on Saturday for the Activity Day.
