SOAR has an exciting vacancy in our Health Team for:
Volunteer Development Worker
Full time (37 hours) flexible hours
Grade: Scale 3 Spinal Point 20 (£18,453)
8% pension contribution
Permanent subject to funding
25 days annual leave entitlement pro-rata & Bank holidays
To enhance the Health and Well Being of local people by adopting an asset based community development approach to:
Support delivery of a programme of health and lifestyle initiatives within community settings (that are linked in to the 5 Ways to Wellbeing).
Support local people to access existing services and health initiatives. Identify barriers to local people accessing service & gaps in services.
Work to positively to address these barriers and forge links with other organisations to provide greater connectivity in delivery.
Work to objectives within SOARs;
Community Wellbeing Programme contracts
Health Champion contracts (Age Better in Sheffield*, Practice Champions, etc)
Social Café contracts.
