I’ve been coming to Pitsmoor Adventure Playground for three years now. I’m from the Czech Republic and I’m in Y6 at Pyebank School. I love coming to the playground because there’s always lots of happiness.

Utopia is part of a project called 500 Years of Utopia run by University of Sheffield’s School of Architecture and Pitsmoor Adventure Playground. Utopia means ‘perfection’. Together with Steve Pool we are making a film which will be shown at an event in Somerset House in London in June.

I talked to Steve who is putting some Utopian play equipment in the playground. Steve’s favourite place is also the Adventure Playground and it’s so close to his house. He said that “Utopia was a place where everything is supposed to be perfect. In the Adventure Playground people come together and nice things happen.”

I also spoke to Amina Ahmed and Ruwaa Saeed who are both thirteen and have been coming here since they were eight. They said “It’s our fave place – not boring. We play, we chill, we eat and we go with friends.”

Tesco have also been renovating and decorating the toilets so they are now lovely.
