People are littering everywhere and it’s ruining the area. Sheffield is known as one of the greenest cities in England but the trash is ruining it. These are some of the things people find: wrappers, food waste and lots of cigarettes.

The litter is not just hurting the plants, it’s also hurting the wildlife. The plastic bags and rubbish are injuring and killing innocent animals such as hedgehogs, squirrels and baby foxes. They also attract rats. Owler Brook School have their very own ‘Go Green’ team of children who help the environment.

Walid, a member of ‘Go Green’, thinks that the litter is unacceptable and if there’s no bin in sight, you should keep your wrappers in your pocket until you find one.

Mr Skeels, the Assistant Learning Mentor, thinks there is too much litter and there are no excuses because there are bins that people can use. Don’t you think a littered planet is a bad planet? Help us make it a green planet!
