Arches Housing Association are very excited to invite you to a street party to celebrate our 40th birthday. The party will be between noon and 4pm on Sunday, 14th June and will be held at our office – 122 Burngreave Road, Sheffield, S3 9DE. Everyone is welcome!
Séamus Harkins, of Arches, said:
"Our founders loved our community. Back in 1975 they set up a small organisation to renovate old houses into quality homes. They wanted the people of north Sheffield to be able to live in a good quality, affordable home, to stop houses in our area going to rack and ruin, and to make sure there are enough homes to allow our community to stay together.
Our community might have changed a lot since then; some people have joined us and some people have moved on, but the heart of our community has carried on beating and we want to renew our pledge to do whatever we can to keep this community as vibrant and diverse as it is.
So please join us as we celebrate not only our 40th birthday, but also celebrate the friends and neighbours that have supported us. There will be:
food
tea and cake
bucking bronco
bouncy slide
face painters
henna artists
magician
steel drum and brass bands
dancers
a live DJ
The event will also reveal Arches' brand new logo, which will symbolise the modern, efficient and community-focused business that they aim to be
