An Apprentice opportunity has arisen at Firs Hill Community Primary School, we are looking for an enthusiastic hard working individual to join our busy administration team. The successful candidate will provide efficient and effective support and gain skill and knowledge to support their own development working across all areas of administration within the school. Our office is a busy working environment which relies on a good level of teamwork whilst contributing to the overall success of the school. This is a challenging and exciting role and a great opportunity for anyone wishing to gain experience in an administration role.

Duties and responsibilities:-

Answering the phone – dealing with enquiries from parents and staff.

Dealing with emails

Filing

Meeting and greeting visitors

Incoming and outgoing post

Use office equipment for example printers & photocopiers

General office responsibilities including the use of spreadsheets and Word documents

Person Required:-

A confident person with a good telephone manner.

Well organised and the ability to work to deadlines.

Strong work ethic and team player.

Friendly efficient person with an interest in office duties

Flexible team worker

Ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with young people

Capable of working on own initiative

An ability to work in an busy environment

Maintaining confidentiality

An empathy for the problems of other people and ability to deal with concerns sensitively

The apprentice will include a Level 2 Business Administration Framework consisting of:-

Level 2 Diploma in Business & Administration

Functional Skills in English level 1 (if required)

Functional Skills in Maths level 1 (if required)

Functional Skills in IT level 1 (if required)
