Forest Garden Day

The next work-day at the Forest Garden on Parkwood Springs will take place on Saturday 11th July.

Community Forester, Ed Thatcher, said,

“Parkwood Forest Garden is a beautiful calm space and a productive permaculture project. It is a young forest garden developed by Sheffield City Council in association with local volunteers.”

All members of the community are welcome to take part and can just turn up at the site between 11am and 3pm or meet Ed Thatcher at the Cooks Wood Road entrance at 10.45.

Ed Thatcher sais,

"This month we will be continuing with summer weeding and with the usual maintenance tasks. There will also be a fair amount of HARVESTING to do!!! So bring your punnets! Thank you to everyone who has worked on, and visited the forest garden over the past months. We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones as we continue to improve the garden. There will be opportunity to continue discussing the future plan for the garden and also a chance for a guided walk for those who haven’t visited before.

If you would like to stop for a shared lunch at around 1pm, that would be great. Bring your own food and maybe something to share."
