Post Details:

Cleaner – Temporary for approx. 9 months to cover maternity leave.

Grade/Salary:

SCP 8- £13,871 p.a. pro rata (£7.85 per hour).

Hours:

14 hours per week x 52 weeks per year (Mon-Wed 3pm-6pm & Thu & Fri 3pm-5.30pm, holiday work negotiable).

Requirements: Starting as soon as possible we are seeking to appoint a cleaner as soon as possible to work as part of a team helping to maintain a clean and healthy learning environment for our children.

The post holder will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in classrooms, toilets, and other areas around school.

They will be able to:

• communicate effectively with other employees and management

• be reliable, punctual and physically fit

• be able to use initiative

• be aware of Health and Safety Policies

• take responsibility for the cleaning standards in a specific area.

• work to a high standard in a safe manner

• understand the needs of the school in prioritising work load

• willing to undertake any training.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Records Disclosure form in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997.
