Parkwood Springs festive lunch

Story:Paul Howard

On 16th December, Parkwood Academy opened its doors to the local community for their annual Community Christmas Dinner.

Nearly 70 local residents attended the event and guests also included the Deputy Lord Mayor and Grace Brierley from the St. Luke’s Hospice Fundraising Team. Voluntary donations to St. Luke’s were collected and a grand total of £250 was presented to the Hospice.

Quotes from our guests summed up the day perfectly: “Today has been a lovely day and reflects the true spirit of Christmas. A community together! Merry Christmas!

“All the people and staff from Parkwood were friendly and supportive. The students in particular were kind and helpful.”
