Mentor
Full Time – 37 Hours
Band 5. Scale – 21 (£19,126)

The office base has limited wheelchair access. The post holder will be expected to travel to different venues, including service users’ homes that may also have limited wheelchair access.

About Key Changes:
Key Changes – Unlocking Women’s Potential is a charity which aims to empower and support marginalized women in order to create a more inclusive society. Key Changes offers a range of services including mentoring, a salon enterprise, a women’s training centre and educational presentations. The training and master classes that Key Changes offers provide women with the much needed practical skills to achieve their goals and re-enter the community and work place with confidence.
Main Purpose of the Role:
To support the provision of early intervention and needs-led support for women in the criminal justice system in any suitable setting that will support them to make informed choices
To manage and supervise mentees and volunteers, ensuring synergy between the organizational development plans and individual work plans.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with both clients and any potential agencies you work with.
Develop productive working relationships and help mentees reach personal goals
Manage own resources, networks and personal development
Embrace change, be innovative and solve problems
Effective and productive use of ICT
Involve and consult
Be able to support mentors and be able to allocate them to mentees.
Develop partnerships with potential clients and agencies around Sheffield.
Promote and market the services effectively to the correct client group.
Plan and achieve the best.
Allocate and monitor the progress and quality of work making sure it is of a high standard.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Manage and lead projects.
Manage risk and resources.
Safeguard service users.
Provide leadership and be a good role model for other mentors.
General Tasks and Responsibilities:
To recruit service users.
To develop and review family support plans and agree effective interventions.
To offer a range of support packages at a pace and location where service users feel comfortable.
To monitor and record all interventions, using the approved systems and procedures.
To work collaboratively with agencies to provide a network of support for Sheffield families.
To manage and supervise support workers, apprentices and volunteers.
To produce reports.
To monitor daily activity on project outcomes.
Produce monitoring information for use in contract reports.
To work as part of the wider team to ensure the Mission and Vision of Key Changes are met.
