Friends of Parkwood Springs meeting and working day

The next meeting of the Friends of Parkwood Springs is on Thursday March 5th at 7pm at St Catherines School, Firshill Crescent, S4 7BX

Besides the usual catching up on what's happening on and about Parkwood Springs, there will be a focus on the River Don, which goes along the bottom of Parkwood Springs.

John Blewitt, a member of the Friends and a keen angler, will talk about the river management, and Lizzie McBride will update us on what the Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust is doing to support and encourage wildlife in the river corridor. I'm sure that it will be a very interesting evening. Everybody is very welcome.

The Friends' next workday will take place on Saturday March 28th, from 10-12 noon. We'll meet as usual at the car park on Cooks Wood Road/Shirecliffe Road. Everyone is very welcome.

There is no news yet about the planning appeal for the Ski Village, or about the planning application for the restoration of the Landfill site.
