An opportunity has arisen within our Procurement team for a Buyer which will be based at our Headquarters in Sheffield.
Under the direction of the Team Leader, the post holder will procure goods and services to provide an efficient procurement support service to the organisation taking into consideration sustainable and ethical product alternatives. This includes negotiating with suppliers and undertaking supplier capability visits, developing specifications for products and services, undertaking electronic tendering, contract management and resolving invoice and delivery discrepancies.
An administration qualification at least equivalent to NVQ Level 2 and experience of general purchasing within a Procurement function are essential, as is a customer focused approach to service delivery and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
Ideally you will hold a Diploma Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and a current driving licence/ability to travel is desirable.
