You are invited to an Exhibition of Community Archaeology Projects featuring work done by students in collaboration with local community groups.

The three projects are :-
The Engine House Enigma.
Based in the 19th century cemetery at Burngreave in collaboration with the Friends of Burngreave Cemetery. The investigation centred on locating the remains of the mining industry of the area specifically an engine house.
Offering or Ornament,
an investigation into Shirecliffe Hall. Working in collaboration with the Friends of Parkwood Springs a geophysical survey was taken to establish the size and positionn of Shirecliffe Hall and its gardens.
Parkwood Springs Community Archaeology Project.
Working alongside the Parkwood Springs Residents Group students investigated the demolished Parkwood Springs Village. The focus of the investigation – a 19th century railway bridge which served as the primary access route to the village.
