Parkwood Springs activities

The Friends of Parkwood Springs have got two events coming up very soon.

First, on Saturday, October 25th, there is a regular workday, from 10am to 12 noon, working on the heathland up from Rutland Road. This is one of the special parts of Parkwood Springs, and the heather looked spectacular earlier in the year. The aim is to take out some of the invasive species, and so helping to keep it looking so good.

Meet at 10am at the car park by the sculpture on Cooks Wood Road/Shirecliffe Road or look on the heathland or ring 0777 156 4883 to find us.

Then on Thursday November 6th there is a Friends Group meeting, at 7pm at St Catherines School, Firshill Crescent, Sheffield S4 7BX. Hopefully by then Viridor will have made their planning application for the restoration of the Landfill site – which is a really important issue for Parkwood Springs. Please come to find out about it and discuss it at the meeting.

Everybody is welcome at both these events.
