This FREE short course will give students the knowledge, skills and understanding to support children’s learning through a range of fun and practical activities. There are no formal entry requirements as this is a taster course to encourage students to progress to the Volunteers Helping in Schools course where appropriate.
Students explore the following aspects through fun, engaging activities:
The National Curriculum l Learning through play l Supporting and enjoying children’s maths
Supporting children’s reading and speaking and listening skills
Helping children to develop their social, emotional and behavioural skills
Starting: Wednesday 7 November 2014
1.00 – 3.00pm for 5 sessions
