I'm running in the Great Yorkshire Run 10K race on the 28th of September to raise money towards equipment at the playground.
The local community took over the running of Pitsmoor Adventure Playground in 2014 to save this much-needed and much-loved resource from closure. A charitable organisation has been set up to raise funds for and manage the playground, previously managed by Sheffield City Council.
The playground needs investment in new play equipment to keep it interesting and inviting to local children. Please sponsor me if you can – it's the reason I took up running!
