7th–10th August were four days of fun, food and friendship. The venue was the beautiful St Peter’s church at Ellesmere.

We started the weekend with kids clubs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with around 50 children coming to play games, do crafts and learn about God. In the afternoons, a team of people in distinctive ‘Red Team’ t-shirts were out and about, washing people’s cars and litter-picking around Scott Road.

Saturday afternoon saw the return of the annual Family Fun Day at St Peter's, with a bouncy castle and barbecue. We had an area where people could come and receive spiritual readings and encouraging messages from God. The sun shone for us and it was a great time with the whole community represented.

Sunday saw the launch of our afternoon ‘Messy Church.’ This is a fun church for all the family where children did a lot of messy crafts and heard a story before everyone came together to eat a meal. This will be continuing monthly at St Peter's on Sundays 28th September, 26th October, 23rd November and a Christmas special on 21st December. Children need to come with their parents or carers, please. The time is 4–5.30pm and all families are welcome to come and learn about Jesus in a fun and friendly environment, with some food and crafts thrown in!
