The job includes development and delivery of a range of activities to enable young people in Burngreave and Fir Vale to explore and deal with conflict in their lives; working alongside a Youth Development Worker.
Ellesmere Youth Project is running an exciting programme of work, enabling young people to explore issues relating to community cohesion and conflict.
We are looking for an experienced part-time youth worker, with proven a proven track record in developing informal education programmes with young people at level 2 or equivalent You will need to be a self-starter with drive and enthusiasm, able to initiate and develop this project from scratch. You will be a great communicator and be able to build positive relationships with challenging groups of young people.
You will have a comprehensive understanding of community cohesion strategies and be able to foster positive relationships. You will have current and working knowledge of Burngreave and Fir Vale, including issues affecting young people in these areas.
