The regular Forest Garden work-day is to be held on Saturday November 8th and is open to all.
Community Forester Tim Shortland says,
“Last month’s workday was productive and the garden is looking great. This month we will be continuing preparation for the winter. There are the usual digging, weeding and maintenance tasks. Thank you to everyone who has worked on and visited the forest garden over the past months. We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones as we move into another winter in the garden.”
As well as outdoor activity, Tim Shortland will offer an insight into planning a garden that looks after itself with the least work.
“There will be opportunity to continue discussing the future plan for the garden and also a chance for a guided walk for those who haven’t visited before.”
Members of the public are welcome to attend at any time between 11am and 2pm.
Bring a packed lunch. The group will meet at 11am at the Cookswood Road entrance to the Parkwood Springs area.
