Sage Greenfingers: sessional support workers

Sage Greenfingers, a well respected Sheffield-based mental health charity seeks ad hoc, self-employed, sessional support workers to join their sessional support worker pool.

They are looking for ad hoc support to help us to run the horticultural therapy sessions at our Grimesthorpe allotment site, to cover occasional staff absence. The cover could be needed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, approximately from 9:30am to 4pm. The pre and post session activity will take place at the Sage Greenfingers office site on Minna Road, S3. They may also need occasional additional support, for example at events, at different times and venues.

The person will be able to work as part of a team that includes, and positively values, volunteers. The person will also help to maintain the allotment site, tools and equipment.

Sage Greenfingers aims to have a pool of people who will be able to provide ad hoc support, and cannot guarantee specific offers of work.

The worker will be appointed on a self-employed basis and so will pay their own income tax and national insurance contributions. SAGE will offer relevant advice and support where possible.

Your expected fee would be £12 per hour.
