Sage Greenfingers, a well respected Sheffield-based mental health charity seeks, a Horticultural Therapy Support Worker with volunteer lead. Fixed term contract
The successful applicant will:
Support delivery of horticultural therapy service to adults with mental health needs, and
Take a lead in recruiting volunteers and, with help, to support and manage our small pool of volunteers.
They seek someone with minimum 3 years’ experience working with adults with mental health needs plus significant skills, experience and enthusiasm for gardening, ideally in a therapeutic horticulture context. You will join a small, highly committed team with a proven track record in delivering positive outcomes for socially excluded adults with complex needs. You will also have some experience in the recruitment, management and support of volunteers.
Salary: £20,972 per annum pro rata (£13,603 for a 24 hour week), reviewed annually
Hours: 24 hours/week
Contract period: 19th May 2014 – 31st December 2014, with the possibility of extension, subject to funding.
Benefits: 10% contribution to stakeholder pension
