Sheffield Mind and Body Project are running a Women Only Exercise Course for ladies who would like to lose weight.
Starts: Tuesday 4th February 2014 for 6 weeks
Venue: Verdon Recreation Centre, Verdon Street, Sheffield, S3 9QN
Time: 1.00pm – 2.30pm
Each session involves a 30 – 45 minute session of exercise for weight loss with support and advice for exercising.
There will be different types of exercise with the main goal being weight loss.
You will have the opportunity to have a voluntary health check on the first and last session to track your progress over the 6 sessions.
The course will be tailored to meet the needs of the individuals attending. A range of different exercises will be used in an exercise class format.
If this sounds useful to you, you need to be either:
A woman under the age of 55 and have two or more lifestyle risk factors (Family history, smoking, hypertension, high cholesterol, impaired glucose fasting, sedentary lifestyle).
Diagnosed as a Type 2 Diabetic or at risk / family history.
A waist circumference greater than 80cm.
Have a BMI no greater than 35.
