Streets Ahead are holding two Road Shows to highlight their current programme of works around Wincobank, Page Hall, Burngreave, Shiregreen and Brightside.

Streets Ahead are responsible for the pavement and road surfaces in Sheffield and also for street furniture, trees, lighting and drains. They plan to improve local roads in our area between January and August 2014.

Streets Ahead have been working closely with Amey to plan an efficient roadworks programme to limit the impact of the work on people living, working or visiting the city. They are inviting all residents to come to their roadshows and see their plans. You will be able to see the full work schedule and any planned changes to public transport during the works.

So please do come along and see what you think:

  • Wednesday 15 January – Wensley Street (adjacent to playground), S4 8HQ 9am-11am

  • Wednesday 15 January – Bolsover Road (adjacent to Lindley Heights), S5 6UX 12pm-2pm

Even if you cannot attend a Road Show, all residents and businesses on roads to be affected by the works will receive a letter informing them of the work arrangements before they are started.

Please find below a link to a map highlighting some of the proposed work.
