Multifaith Forest Garden

Sheffield Interfaith invites you to join in the joint environmental initiative Multifaith Forest Garden at Parkwood Springs

Saturday 8th February 2014 11am – 2pm

The February workday will focus on weeding the new areas to prepare for planting new plants in the Spring/summer. There will be opportunity to start discussing the future plan for the garden and the new planting. The new planting will include mainly ground cover plants and in line with the nature of forest gardening we will aim for each plant to be beneficial in some way. There will also be another chance for a guided walk around the garden for those who haven’t visited before.

2013 has been a fantastic year in the forest garden. Just about all of the old planting membrane has been removed and replaced by wood chip. The main body of the garden has been weeded and the plan is to continue clearing the remaining areas towards the bottom of the site and around the pond.

Tim Shortland would like to say thank you to everyone who has worked on and visited the forest garden over the past months.
