Christmas comes early for Sage/Greenfingers

Story by SAGE/Greenfingers

All members, volunteers and staff at SAGE Greenfingers are celebrating 3 pieces of fantastic news:

2 large grants have been approved to support our programme over the next 5 years. These are a Big Lottery, Reaching Communities grant of £498,639 and a Lloyds Bank Foundation grant of £69,572.

These 2 grants will enable us to

The 3rd bit of news is not quite so exciting but still very significant – we have passed a level 2 PQASSO assessment process! This means that our charity has been assessed using a quality system endorsed by the Charity Commission for England and Wales and passed at level 2. The report summary of findings (at the beginning of an 81 page document!) said SAGE:

“is particularly strong in the areas of monitoring and evaluation (particularly > as they deal with qualitative lifestyle improvements which are difficult to evidence) and in planning and in managing people.”

We are delighted with all 3 of these achievements. It is a wonderful note on which to move into 2015 and we look forward to continuing to keep you updated on the work we do via bi-annual newsletters and other communications.

Wishing you all the very best for 2015
