Police cordon on Andover Street

A police cordon was in place at the bottom of Andover Street near Spital Hill on Tuesday night, 12th August, and during Wednesday. The Police released the following statement:

“Police were called just after 10.30pm on Tuesday 12th August to Spital Hill, Sheffield, following reports of a firearm being discharged. No gun was seen by the caller and no one was injured during the incident. Officers remain in the area conducting enquiries and a section of Spital Hill remains closed. Anyone with information is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1189 of 12/08/2014.”
