Summertime arrives!
The clocks went forward an hour this weekend – 30th March – and local artist, Steve Poole adjusted the sundial on the corner of The Lodge in Abbeyfield Park, to match.
Thirteen years ago Steve created the sundial (or rather two interchangeable sundials, one for winter and one for summer), to keep us on time in the park.
Each spring and autumn he has to climb the ladder and change to the appropriate version.
I wonder how many users of the park notice the sundial and actually tell the time in the old fashioned way
All we need now is the sun!
