Eid Event in Abbeyfield Park
Eid Event in Abbeyfield Park

Al-Taqwa mosque held a Eid celebration in Abbeyfield Park in August. This is the second year the mosque has held events in the park which are intended to bring the whole community together, not just Muslims. The event included lots of activities for families such as rides, bouncy castles, food and face painting.

Organisers Guleid Jama, Ahmed Yusuf Sahal, Hussien Farah, Yassin Farah Jess, Mohamed Mah, and Mohamed Hassan, were pleased with the growing success of the event. Guleid said,

“We had 4-500 people attend, which is the largest turn out since we started organising the event. It was a really good family day, everything went to plan and everyone had a really good time.”
