Fir Vale School celebrated record results this summer with 53% of students achieving five A* to C grades at GCSE including English and Maths.
79% of students got five GCSEs graded A* to C . The pass rate of A*to G grades reached 93% making this year the best set of exam results in the history of the school.
Headteacher, Breffní Martin, expressed her delight, saying,
“The school introduced a wide range of support, including a regular Saturday school, to help students achieve their personal goals. The outstanding results highlight the partnership between students, teachers, parents and carers.
“‘Making dreams a reality’ is about aiming for a personal best. Success for one student might be to achieve 10 A grades while, for another, success could be to transform 5 predicted D grades into Cs. All successes are equally important. Congratulations to every single student for contributing to our record results.”
