Abbeyfield Park: Women's Cycling

Pedal Ready Cycling
Pedal Ready Cycling

Story: Dave Brennan

We started the project in July 2013, and there has been good attendance, though Ramadan and the school holidays affected the numbers.

The project is run by Pedal Ready and funded by Sheffield City Council. We cater for beginners who want to learn to ride, right through to proficient cyclists who want to enjoy riding round the park. Bikes are provided. Abbeyfield Park provides a safe, secluded environment where you can enjoy the pleasures of cycling. We also have access to the community room in Abbeyfield Park House where you can sit, relax, have a chat and a drink.

From October 2013 onwards, sessions will be Fridays only from 9 – 10.30 am, until next Easter. Thanks to everyone for their support so far. If you are a female cyclist and would like to support the group, please come and join in.
