Wicker flood defence proposal

A proposal to build flood defences from the Wicker arches to Meadowhall is being planned. It will also increase the height of the flood defence on Nursery Street.

Businesses in the Wicker area are being asked to vote on the scheme. The proposals will cost a small increase in business rates in the area, depending on the size and location of the business. The plan will only go ahead if businesses vote for it so there is a series of open days.

On Friday 22nd November, the proposals are on display at the North Bank building on the Wicker between 12.30pm and 4pm. The public can drop in at any time.
