Story:Val Ellis

The ‘Knit and Natter’ group, run by the Primary Mental Health Care Project and held at the Ashram on Spital Hill, celebrated their 5th anniversary in May.

The group has flourished greatly in friendship and creativity over the years. Members like to share skills and tips with each other. We also enjoy knitting for various charities which we have found very rewarding. Earlier this year the group knitted jumpers for babies of Malawi, who are born is such poverty they are wrapped in newspaper to keep warm. The group has also knitted a blanket for St Luke’s Hospice.

We would also like to say thank you to the volunteers at the Ashram who make us so welcome.
