From Tuesday 19th to Thursday 28th February 2013, the Council will be collecting bulky household rubbish free of charge in some areas of Burngreave. Check for your street in the list below.
If you live in one of these streets, please put your bulky household rubbish out for collection before 11.00am and it will be taken away.
The Council will take most household rubbish but there are a number of items they will not collect.
Items that will not be collected
TVs, computer monitors, fluorescent tubes
Fridge/Freezers
Asbestos (e.g. old guttering), plasterboard
Gas bottles
Car tyres, and car batteries
Stones, bricks, building rubble, concrete, soil
Paint, oil, chemicals, garden waste
Please do not put any of the items listed above out for collection as they will not be taken.
Please remember:
Place rubbish on the pavement near to the road.
Place small items of rubbish in bags or boxes.
Do not block the path for pedestrians.
Rubbish must NOT be placed out after 11.00am as it will not be collected.
Rubbish should not be placed out overnight.

In addition to your Bring Out Your Rubbish Day, there are a number of other services you can use to get rid of your bulky household waste.
Household Waste Recycling Centres
You can take your bulky household waste, including fridges, freezers and televisions to any of the 5 Household Waste Recycling Centres in Sheffield. The nearest site is at Longley Avenue West, Shirecliffe.
The site is currently open from 10am – 4pm everyday.
There is no charge for this service.
Bulky Collection Service
You can arrange for a bulky waste collection from your home. There may be a charge for this service.
