Books for Liberia appeal

St. Cuthbert's Church and Whiteways School are collecting donated books in February to send to people in Liberia as part of a national campaign to alleviate illiteracy.

Most of the men, women and children in Liberia cannot read and write. The appeal will redistribute collected books and educational materials amongst schools in the country for free.

If you have any books you would like to donate, please contact:- Alpha and Louise Collins on 261 1605

or deliver books to St. Cuthbert’s Church, Barnsley Road on Thursdays 2-3.30pm or to the Vicarage, 7 Horndean Road, by arrangement.

Alternatively, books can be delivered to Whiteways School.
