Benefits will be changing in April due to government cuts. This could affect the Housing Benefit you are entitled to and you may have to pay some Council Tax.
In Burngreave there are 739 working age tenants living in Sheffield City Council properties that are claiming housing and council benefit, 501 are likely to be affected by the welfare benefit reforms. Over 150 of these will be affected by the ‘Bedroom tax’.
