The Sheffield Central Library has a display of quotes about Libraries on the stairwell walls. Among which are:
“There is no institution I value more in this country than libraries”. – Michael Palin.
“I have always imagined that paradise will be a kind of library” – Jorge Luis Borges.
“A Library is an arsenal of liberty” – Anonymous.
Perhaps, with such quotes so prominently displayed, the City Council and will be inspired to keep Burngreave Library open.
