Volunteer this Summer and learn new skills, have a go at bricklaying and mixing mortar, and help us make a better community garden!
We’ll be sprucing up a disused yard at the Women’s Construction Centre, building a low wall to create a garden space and make the car park more accessible. We’ll need help moving some materials around, if you are happy and comfortable to get stuck in!
Experienced bricklaying tutors will guide you, and we can provide gloves and some safety boots. Please wear suitable clothing for working outside including stout boots.
Saturday 22 June
Sunday 23 June
Saturday 13 July
Sunday 14 July
Three sessions each day: 9.30 – 11.30, 12.30 – 2.30 and 3.00 – 5.00
Come for any of the sessions or all day – or the whole weekend!
This is an exciting new collaboration between the Women in Construction Arts and Technology (WiCAT), the Hindu Samaj and the wider community.
We’ll be there rain or shine, unless the weather is too inclement. We’ll provide refreshments and snacks, but please bring a packed lunch. Please get in touch to let us know you are coming on:

We look forward to seeing you!
Best wishes from all at WICAT
